AGRITOURISM ACTIVITY NOTICE

WARNING: Under North Carolina law, an agritourism professional is not liable for injury or death of a participant in an agritourism activity resulting from the inherent risks of agritourism activities. Inherent risks include, among others, risks of injury inherent to land, equipment, and animals, as well as the potential for you to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to your injury. You are assuming the risk of participating in this agritourism activity.

 

By entering Thornfield Heritage Farm, guests acknowledge and agree:

 

- This is a working farm environment with inherent risks, including but not limited to:

> Uneven ground, holes, mud, rocks, and natural terrain

> Fencing, gates, and farm structures

> Interaction with or proximity to livestock and working animals

> Not to enter any animal enclosure unless explicitly permitted

> Not to feed or handle animals unless invited to do so

 

- Animals, even when friendly, may behave unpredictably (including jumping, nudging, stepping, or vocalizing).

 

- Guests accept full responsibility for:

> Their own safety

> The supervision and behavior of children in their care

 

- Guests must follow all posted signage and staff instructions

 

- Guest must keep all gates closed

 

Thornfield Heritage Farm, its owners, and staff are not liable for injuries, losses, or damages arising from:

- Participation in farm activities

- Contact with animals

- Natural or environmental conditions

 

Guests agree to assume all risks associated with their visit.
